An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
